The 8th World Congress of Neuroscience was organised jointly by the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) and the Italian Society of Neuroscience (SINS) at Florence, Italy from July 14-18, 2011. This was truly a global and large event reflecting IBRO’s core mission of promoting international collaboration and exchange of scientific information as it was attended by more than 4200 neuroscientists including 1500 from developing nations.
